Karen Guzi started at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center in 2005 as a part time faculty member for the School Of Nursing. In 2006, Mrs. Guzi accepted a full time faculty position.

Mrs. Guzi started her nursing career in 1982 after graduating with her diploma from Lutheran Medical Center School of Nursing in Cleveland, Ohio. She has a diverse clinical background.  Although heavily focused in critical care (Emergency Department /Trauma, Coronary care, Intensive Care) including critical care transport by ground and air, her other positions have ranged from community based settings through and including extended care, home care and hospice. Additional experience has included middle management and currently teaching.

Mrs. Guzi received her Bachelor’s of Science In Nursing (BSN) through Fireland’s Campus of Bowling Green in 1993. She is currently pursuing her Master’s In Science of Nursing from The University of Akron.  Her focus of study is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) in Gerontology.
